Schulwettbewerb

We are Das Internat e.V. and one of our goals is to draw attention to the fact that we have over 7,500 homeless people in Germany who are minors. We still perceive this too much as a TABU issue. Nobody speaks or talks about it. That's why we've decided to bring this topic to schools in the form of a competition between August and October 2025. 

We will only provide the title and the pupils can do whatever they want with it: An essay, a craft, a small theater performance, create an object with Minecraft, whatever.

The students have three topics (headings) to choose from: 

At the end of October 2025, all of the students' work will be presented and awarded prizes. The 5 best group results from the school classes and the 5 best results from individual pupils will be awarded prizes. This could be support for upcoming school trips, a purchase for the school, a contribution to a fund or something similar. We have not yet decided on a specific amount because the budget still needs to be balanced.

We assume that the costs we will incur (preparation, travel to and from the event, printed materials, venues, award ceremonies) will be in the region of EUR 5,000 to 8,000.

As far as possible, the aim is for the award ceremonies to help support children in social need. We will consult with the schools.
