Open Sports Mobil - Sports for all

Play moves adolescents, promotes their cognitive and motor skills as well as their social skills and therefore contributes to their positive development. Free play is often neglected due to the structure of school and leisure activities. Added to this is the urbanization of children's living spaces, which leaves them little to no space for free play, as well as the increase in digital forms of play. Children's motor skills are restricted, which promotes overweight and obesity and has a negative impact on physical development. The Open Sports Mobil aims to counteract this. The Open Sports Mobil is used in many different projects and is therefore in use almost every day. It allows mobility between different locations and thus makes everyday life easier. Filled with various materials, the Open Sports Mobil enables a variety of exercise options, regardless of location and project. The Open Sports Mobil supports projects such as Open Sports @school and the vacation program. 


We are implementing the Open Sports @school project to give children at Essen elementary school without their own sports hall more exercise time in their everyday lives. Experienced coaches travel to the various locations with the Open Sports Mobile and expand the sports lessons with an exercise program. We try to cover as many classes as possible in order to offer as many children as possible a variety of physical activity experiences. This project is not open to the public. 


The materials of the Open Sports Mobil are wide-ranging and are also adapted to specific trends in sport as far as possible. This makes it possible to appeal to almost all age groups. Depending on the age group to be reached, the colorful equipment enables an attractive offer. This means, for example, that a primary school child can do a roller board race together with a parent or a younger brother can show his older sister how to do a cartwheel on the gym mat. In particular, the activities reach people from the immediate social environment.
