Water for Kenya – Construction of a solar powered fountain
Pronalife gathers for a well project in Kwale District which is located in the Coast Province of Kenya. The Kwale District abuts the south to the border with Tanzania, the eastern boundary is formed by the Indian Ocean. The biggest cities of the District are Ukunda (61,000 inhabitants) and Msambweni (55,000 inhabitants).
We are going to drill a 40 meter deep well in the arid regions of Kenya and promote daily with a solar-powered high-performance pump up to 15,000 liters of water. This water is used for irrigation purposes in a sophisticated irrigation system for 28 Ha area under cultivation. This will create around 70 new jobs. People will receive training in agricultural cultivation and its organic implementation. The most fertile soil of Kenya provides numerous fruits and vegetables such as: millet, beans, bananas, sweet potatoes, yams, cassava, watermelons and potatoes. Through the creation of jobs about 70 families will be nourished and provided with work.
