This is a project of "nach und nach-Verein zur Unterstützung lokaler Bildungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte e.V." in Heidelberg.
"Peace Home Academic Complex Yaoundé" is an English-medium pre-nursery, nursery and primary school, and also offers evening classes. Since 2018, it is also a secondary school. The school was authorized by the government in November 2008. It is operated by Dr. Samuel Atechi (Professor at the University of Yaoundé) and his wife Julian Ndenkeh (College teacher), who founded and built up the school in September 2008. We have known Samuel and his family for more than fifteen years. Currently, the school houses more than 700 students, most of them from underprivileged families and many of them orphans. The staff comprises 25 people (teaching and administrative personnel). The "Peace Home Academic Complex" is situated in the district of Etoung-Ebé, 6 miles away from the centre of Yaoundé. Samuel and Julian run the school basically with their own, modest resources. Only a part of the students are from families who can afford tuition fees.
