Donate toward equity and justice and target children and young people

 Child poverty in Germany continues to rise. One out of five children live in a household that is considered poor or at risk of poverty. Child poverty is visible at the Tafel: more than a quarter of Tafel beneficiaries are under the age of 18. The sad consequences are low educational opportunities, poorer health and social isolation. The children are excluded from many leisure activities. There is often not enough money for healthy food, new clothes, an outing to the swimming pool, going to the movies with friends, or even tutoring. 
 

Your donations supports foodbanking and targeted action against child poverty. Be a part of bringing more joy into a child’s life!

In addition to providing support and financial relief through food distribution, food banks organize projects for children and young people e.g.:

Projects geared toward children and young people are an important addition to the basic foodbanking activities of the Tafel. While they increase the effectivity of the aid, they also require additional investments and carry more expenses. With your donation, you can support projects for children and young people at the Tafel locations throughout the country and them access eequal opportunity and justice!
