After the fourth year of the Syrian crisis, the world seems to have forgotten about the silent victims of the conflict. While the number of refugees continue to climb, and despite the fact their needs are increasing, humanitarian aid and relief program are in decline .
The Syrian refugees who have settled in the Bekaa valley are among the most vulnerable to enduring inhumane conditions due to the harsh winter climate in the area, and a decline in winterization initiatives provided by the international community to help them cope.
This project aims to launch a winterization campaign to assist 500 families of Syrian refugees residing in the Bekaa valley to cope with the harsh winter conditions through the distribution of heating fuel and blankets. Basmeh and Zeitooneh hopes that by providing refugees with these basic goods, we can protect the refugees against the effects of the harsh winter in the Bekaa Valley.
