GAL Project Event at Otago University

Major Event for the GAL Project in New Zealand!

On 16th March 2015, a presentation on the Global Animal Law (GAL) Project was given by Project Manager Sabine Brels at Otago University in Dunedin (New Zealand) with the support of the Law Faculty and the Otago Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.

Around 50 people were present with the majority being students and a few professors. Great enthusiasm was expressed for the website by the students while the professors declared that the site provides a useful tool that was currently missing in animal law. We are now looking forward to new proposals from the most interested students and to more visits to the website and to our Facebook page!

We are also delighted with this excellent new contact and the collaboration with animal lawyers in New Zealand and at the Otago University, in particular the animal law professor Marcelo Rodriguez Ferrere who organized the talk (on the left next to the GAL Project Manager in the photo).
