About this project

On the occasion of this day, the Bundesromaverband (http://bundesromaverband.de/), an umbrella organisation of self-organised Rroma associations, invites everyone to different events in Berlin. Unfortunately, the expenses aren't covered by the funding so far.
In detail, the following events are planned:
On April 8 at 12 a.m. there'll be a rally in front of the Memorial to the Sinti and Roma of Europe Murdered Under the National Socialist Regime, not far from Brandenburg Gate.
At 1 p.m. the same day a discussion about #RomaDay at Allianz-Kulturform, Pariser Platz takes place.
At 3 p.m. a second rally will be held at Brandenburg Gate, adressing the right to stay in Germany for all Roma, opposing racist discrimination. With gigs by Kasto Brijani, Prince-H, Gipsy K-Flow and Gipsy Mafia.
In the evening, at 6 p.m., the Performance in Hilton Room: Night Asylum 437 at Gorki Studio Я (Maxim-Gorki-Theater) will be shown.
At 10th of April, 7 p.m., the women of the rromani-feminist archive project RomaniPhen and the group IniRromnja remember Melanie Spitta, film maker and activist in the Sintezza and Rromnja movement, with a performative reading. At the academy of the Jewish Museum.
At 10 p.m. the same day, everyone's invited to the final party in Ballhaus Naunynstraße.
Two busses will be leased to transport people that have to live in asylum homes/lagers in the region so they can participate in the different events.
The Bundesromaverband needs your donations to realise this plan and let the messages of the International Day of Roma reach the public! Please donate to enable the event! Every contribution - as little as it might be - helps!
Everyone, donating or not, is very welcome to all events!
