We, the ACTP e.V., are a registered non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of endangered parrots and the protection of their habitats. We lead and conduct projects in collaboration with our local partners to protect parrots worldwide. However, particular attention is with us on the breeding of rare and endangered parrots in our own parrot breeding facility near Berlin.
Founded in 2006 from a backyard hobby, our organization is today one of the leading organizations in the field of parrot breeding. Especially with our successes in the field of Spix's macaw breeding, the rarest parrot in the world, we have received great international recognition.
The offspring from our programs are regularly sent back to their countries of origin and to help form the basis for future reintroductions of the species into the wild. We also contribute to the conservation of endangered parrot species, through the development of reserve populations. These populations help to preserve and stabilize an endangered species in the event of unexpected declines of the population in the wild (e.g. through natural disasters or diseases).
As registered non-profit organization, we depend on donations. Only through your donations we can save these wonderful birds from extinction and preserve these parrots for future generations.
