Education – Culture - Home
We - Mädchenbüro e.V. in Frankfurt - are an intercultural association that has been supporting girls from the age of ten for almost 20 years.
The project FlüchtlingsCafé Milena is organised in collaboration with the foundation KfW Stiftung. It aims to provide an accessible meeting place for refugee women and girls in Frankfurt, offering them a variety of educational, cultural and advisory services. We support refugee women and girls in any way necessary to satisfy their particular needs, helping them and their children to become part of society in their new host country and to rebuild their lives after fleeing their homes.
FlüchtlingsCafé Milena serves all women and girls, including unaccompanied minors, who come to Frankfurt. Our services are provided irrespective of their legal status.
Our mission
This project aims to tackle the multiple disadvantages faced by refugee women and girls and provides them with a safe haven where they can meet people, get help and guidance and continue their education.
Yet this is not all: We would like to help the girls and women (re)discover their resources. By participating in the development of the project, they have the opportunity to lead independent lives in line with their aims and interests.

+ FlüchtlingsCafé Milena: an accessible meeting place with Internet café for exchanging ideas and meeting people
+ The story-telling café –your world my world our world: cultural events and meeting place open to the interested public once a month
+ Intensive language courses with childcare
+ Assistance in dealing with local authorities, courts, lawyers and doctors
Our services are provided free of charge.

Aktually we need money for educational material, office supplies, tea, coffee, food and for public relations.
