    ABOUT WORKEER

Workeer is Germany’s biggest job board tailor-made for refugees and employers. On workeer.de refugees and interested employers can get in touch and find the jobs, skills and assistance they need. Workeer provides a free and easy way for refugees and employers to connect.
The current statistics show workeer’s success among the main target groups: 200,000 people have visited the page over the past 6 months, 1,800 employers and 2,000 refugees created public profiles. Nearly 2,000 open positions and several dozens of refugees who already found a job through workeer are proof for the efficiency of our plattform.

    THE PLATFORM

We are convinced that work is a key factor to successful integration as it helps in the learning of a foreign language and facilitates social contacts between refugees and members of the host society, recognising that integration is a two-way process. However, refugees face multiple obstacles in their job search, such as the lack of a professional network. Workeer addresses this issue by offering an easy way for refugees and employers to get in touch.
A professional applicant profile increases the visibility of a refugee’s professional potential, skills and employability, whereas companies can introduce themselves in business profiles and publish job posts on the platform. Search algorithms and an intelligent search interface that filters for variables such as language requirements, domains, and locations allows employers to search for suitably-qualified candidates, and vice versa.

    THE VISION
Workeer started as a graduation project in July 2015. In the beginning of 2016 Workeer established a partnership with the NGO Kiron Open Higher Education. Ever since, our team is constantly growing and focuses on further developing our platform. This involves partnering up with other initiatives and creating an efficient customer support to provide refugees and employers with the assistance they need in the hiring/job finding process.
Some of our goals for 2016 are:
Make our site available in various languages
Offer legal advice on employment law issues
Support refugees in the application process (e.g. offer coaching and training for job interviews, CV writing etc. )
Integrate tracking tools to analyse the efficiency of our website
Implement an internal communication messaging system
To reach these goals and keep expanding our project we need our team to grow and professionalize. Help us finance one of the necessary positions to make it all happen!
