In cooperation with the Government of Baringo County the European Support Team supports the establishment of the first volunteer fire department in Kenya, as well as the emergency services in the region. This project is unique in East-Africa.
Our goal is a functioning rescue system for the region in western Kenya. With 11.075 km2 and more than 500,000 inhabitants, the project is a great demand on our team.
Comrades of professional and volunteer fire departments from Germany, Austria or even the United Arab Emirates work voluntary together on this project.
In special divided departments, we simultaneously work on the implementation of several important projects in place. This is specifically to e.g. the new and reconstruction measures, the training, the establishment of a central emergency call system, an operation room and the emergency services.
All donations benefit the procurement of materials and the training on site.
Our team works closely with the local authorities and all donations targeting investments to the local needs.
We have already been able to send some donations of firefighters from all over Germany to Kenya. Here too, their donations are used for the transport of goods by sea from our logistics center in Augsburg is very costly.
