We are GEBEWO -Soziale Dienste- Berlin, which is active in the field of Berlin housing emergency assistance and integration assistance. We operate various facilities and offers for homeless people in Berlin, including numerous women-specific facilities such as dormitories, emergency overnight accommodation or advice centers.
Since 2016, we have been collecting donations together with the association Periodensystem to provide women in need with menstrual products. So far we have managed to raise over 17.000 € for homeless women and we are convinced that more can be done. The need for hygiene items can never be sufficiently covered, so we need your help!
While the title is self-explanatory, here are a few words that might persuade you to participate. Over 63.000 women in Germany are homeless and cannot afford to buy menstrual items.
This project is here to make the lives of homeless women a little more comfortable. We hope that with small donations from many people, we can buy pads, tampons, etc. for women in need.
Your donations will help buy hygiene items for our facility that specifically cares for women living on the streets.
