Art Meets Education e.V. has set itself the goal of giving children from financially disadvantaged families the opportunity to graduate from school and to enable themselves a future far from poverty and disadvantage - using their own photography.
In photography workshops that take place every year in the Philippines, the children learn how to take their own photos with a camera. Afterwards they look for their own motifs and develop ideas to express their creativity through their photos. Finally, we sift through all of the pictures together with the children.
Our team is dedicated to the exhibition and sale of the photographs that were created in the workshops. All of AME's proceeds from sales and donations, fund the education of children from elementary school through high school graduation.
In this way, the children enable their school education through their own art. Because the task of Art Meets Education is to show them not only financial support but also the possibilities that their own creativity opens up to them.
In addition to expanding our project in Manila, we also want to use donations to set up new projects in other countries to give local children the chance to discover their creativity through photography and thus finance their graduation from school.
