About this project
However, there is a way to eliminate these drawbacks: rather than relying entirely on the classic “phased array”-based sonography method, we use holographic sonography, or 3D ultrasonic holography.
What is holographic sonography?
Simply put, holographic sonography is a method of examining or surveying the interior of the body, similar to a traditional ultrasound. However, unlike traditional sonography, holographic sonography allows the examiner to evaluate 100% of the scattered or reflected sound waves from the perspective of their information content, meaning that it provides images with higher resolutions, as well as the possibility to detect changes in tissue density or temperature, which could be a sign of cancer. This makes it easier, faster, and safer to recognize illnesses.
Easy to use, more reliable, and better for tracking effectiveness of treatment – these are just some of the advantages of holographic sonography. A further advantage of holographic sonography is the reproducibility of the images. 3D ultrasound images can be automatically compared with the images of previous examinations, thus enhancing the potential for an early response to tissue changes.
Our goals are to develop 3D medical holographic ultrasounds, open nonprofit ultrasound centers, and conduct 3D ultrasound holography examinations.
We are working to develop three ultrasound devices that will address specific ailments:
1. Ultrasound device for general examinations will target the abdomen, thyroid glands, etc.
2. Ultrasound device for joint examinations will examine the hand, arm, foot, and knee joints painlessly and cost-effectively, making an arthroscopy unnecessary.
3. Ultrasound device for breast examinations will scan for cancerous or precancerous tissue growth or other abnormalities.
We have already successfully developed 2D ultrasound holographic prototypes, demonstrating that we have the necessary experience and expertise in this area. For 3D ultrasound holography prototypes, only one dimension need be added, so to speak.
These centers will also operate on a not-for-profit basis, thereby guaranteeing we can maintain low prices. This is particularly important to us because we firmly believe that everyone should have access to the best healthcare possible. Illnesses don’t discriminate based on income; we won’t either.
