In Nepal's challenging economic and social environment, some difficulties go far beyond the aftermath of the 2015 earthquake. Despite the constitutional right to free education, the government allocates less than 11% of its budget to education, even though it has committed to 20%. As a result, parents still have to pay around Rs. 2,090 ($15.6) annually to public schools, despite mandatory schooling. Ongoing issues like civil war, poverty, and a rigid caste system make people, especially children, vulnerable. Children under 18 make up 33.84% of the population, which is approximately 9.87 million.

Even when families are present, there is no guarantee that they can adequately meet their children's needs, often leading to neglect. Many children – both boys and girls – end up on the streets. In the fiscal year 2022/23, the National Centre for Children at Risk (NCCR - 104) rescued 362 unaccompanied children and provided them with protection services. Over 20% of Nepal's population lives in poverty, with rates as high as 24.66% in rural areas. This alarming situation demands urgent action.

Our goal is clear: we want to improve the lives of children in Nepal by supporting initiatives for street children, such as care in special facilities in Kathmandu, and promoting educational projects. Every contribution counts, and we work closely with trusted local partners to ensure our efforts have a sustainable impact.

We are a registered non-profit organization, founded by a multinational group of seven individuals who have a special connection to Nepal. It is our mission to take responsibility and take concrete actions to support the children of Nepal in a real and tangible way.
