    About this project

Berlin Worx e.V. from BERLIN WORX e.V. is responsible for this project
Save Berlin's club culture in quarantine

Berlin's club culture is facing the greatest challenge in its history. On Friday, March 13, the entire Berlin nightlife was officially shut down to stop the spread of the corona virus. The existence of all over 250 live music venues, such as clubs, is threatened. This means that more than 9,000 employees* and tens of thousands of artists are suddenly without employment , and the many places that create an identity for Berlin are on the brink of ruin.

In response to the fact that the clubs in Berlin are closed and the rest of the world is also in quarantine, Berlin is declaring its solidarity. Every day, clubs, event organizers and artists open their virtual doors on United We Stream. This is where everyone collects donations together.

United We Stream brings the largest digital club to your home. At https://UnitedWeStream.berlin you can see the whole range and diversity of Berlin's club scene. ARTE concert, radioeins, ALEX TV and FLUX FM have been won as partners as well as the Berlin label SUOL for the provision and technical support of the streaming technology. In addition to the live broadcast of DJ sets, live music and performances, United We Stream is also a platform for discussion rounds, lectures and films on club cultural topics.

We now need your support so that Berlin's club scene can survive these difficult times and to ensure the survival of club culture in Berlin! Save the Berlin club scene with a donation.

United We Stream supports the cultural work of live music venues, such as clubs. The income from the streams is used to collect donations for social hardship cases, which can be used to support clubs in need under the coronavirus quarantine. Any club can apply for cultural funding. An independent jury has been appointed and a list of criteria has been developed for grants for cultural projects.

In addition, eight percent of the proceeds go to the "Foundation Fund Civil Sea Rescue". Its clear and transparent funding criteria enable the rapid allocation of funds to civil sea rescue in the Mediterranean. In this way we are sending an additional signal of solidarity: It is not only about us - solidarity is needed by many!

#UnitedWeStream is an initiative of the Berlin Club Commission, the Reclaim Club Culture Network and the non-profit association BERLIN WORX.

Thanks for your support and stay healthy!
