Dear friends of music,
The Deutsche Orchester-Stiftung (DO-S) is transferring the successful #MusikerNothilfe fundraising campaign into a new #MusikerZukunft support programme for young freelance musicians and ensembles.
With #MusikerNothilfe, the Deutsche Orchester-Stiftung was able to support more than 5,000 freelance musicians in need due to the Corona pandemic. From March 2020 to October 2021, over 5.5 million euros were donated, which were paid out as emergency aid in 2020 and as tax-free scholarships from 2021.
Even before the pandemic, the situation of many freelance musicians was difficult. With the pandemic, the true extent of social distress also became clear to a broad public. The new funding programme #MusikerZukunft is intended to provide support where there is usually no public funding.
To ensure that the entire music scene remains vibrant and that young professional musicians continue to enrich musical life and our society with their creativity, we need your support!

The funds raised here may only be disbursed for the #MusikerZukunft scholarship programme. Should we raise more funds than necessary, we will use these funds for another statutory tax-privileged purpose.
