The various activities and focal points of our animal welfare work around the world – whether a shelter or mobile clinic, help for strays, farm animals or wild animals – are always particularly difficult in the face of global crises such as the war in Ukraine, the drought in East Africa or the earthquake in Turkey.
We promise you: We do everything in our power to ensure the protection of animals even in these catastrophic situations – but we need your support to do so!
With the help of the WTG Emergency Relief Fund we want to enable quick help for the animals exactly where and when it is needed the most. This includes measures such as:
- An emergency supply for stray dogs and cats left behind as well as farm animals such as donkeys and cattle in need.
- Securing the ongoing and sometimes increasing costs to maintain our partner organization's structures such as the care and feeding of all animals in the care of our sanctuaries, such as bears and elephants, pangolins and sloths.
- Providing food, drinking water and medical treatment for animals in the event of droughts and other weather extremes.
- Distribution of animal supplies such as blankets, transport boxes, leashes and pet food and veterinary advice to animal owners that are in need after catastrophic events.
