Our Mission - End Period Poverty

Periodensystem is a platform set up and run by volunteers tackling the issue of period poverty, needs of homeless women* and everything revolving around periods and empowerment. We are building a platform for education, idea sharing and community building.

Our mission is low-threshold support of women* in need in Germany (starting with Berlin) and building a supportive community on a national scale. Visibility, empowerment and education is the focus. We love what we do and do so with humour, commitment and professionalism.

Our vision is social visibility regarding  period poverty in Germany and the general handling of periods. We want to be part of a society where young women* are not ashamed of their periods and women* can afford or do not have to think about period or hygiene products despite financial, social or psychological challenges. Our approach is intercultural, intersectional and inclusive all all gender*.
