    About this project

Jennifer Josenhans from Ecologic Institut gemeinnützige GmbH is responsible for this project
Let’s be better together. Let's join forces across borders and disciplines.

Help us to invite a young scientist to come to Berlin and work on the vital issues of health and climate.

Science supports solutions: 2020 has been prominently marked by two global crises – the health crisis prompted by the novel corona virus and the ongoing climate crisis. At the same time, 2020 has shown the importance of scientific insights for designing convincing policy solutions.

Working together across borders: 2020 has also shown the critical value – and the fragility – of international collaboration and multilateral solutions when dealing with global challenges. At Ecologic Institute, we strongly belief in the value of international collaboration. We are convinced that the global crises of today can only be solved in concerted efforts, bringing together our best brains and learning from the diversity of insights and experiences around the world.

    Passionate research with impact
: Our 25 years of research was rewarded by Ecologic Institute being ranked the #1 Environment Policy Think Tank in the World by the University of Pennsylvania’s 2020 Think Tank Ranking. Our success can be traced back to our passionate team, which works thoughtfully on issues of environmental sustainability across a multitude of different disciplines. Comprised of scientists, economist, historians, legal experts, and more, Ecologic Institute’s team stems from dozens of countries and speaks numerous languages.

This anniversary campaign calls upon you - our friends, supporters, colleagues and followers - to kindly make a contribution and help us sponsor a new 25th Anniversary Health & Climate Fellow to come to Berlin and join our Ecologic Institute family for a year.

Your support ensures we can fund a year-long scholarship for an internationally-minded individual, who is passionate about working across borders, across disciplines and with our team at Ecologic Institute on the vital issues of health and climate.

For the chosen scientist, this will be an opportunity to work on important topics of global relevance in a top environmental think tank as part of an international and thematically diverse team.

For Ecologic Institute, this fellowship represents our commitment to international collaboration and innovative research with impact, and allows us to incorporate a new voice and perspective into our work on some of the most pressing issues of our time.

Our friends at the Stiftung Mercator have ensured that all funds up to 12,500 € will be matched. So for every Euro you donate, Stiftung Mercator will match your donation, taking us to our goal of 25,000€ for 25 years of meaningful work.

Thank you for supporting Ecologic Institute.
