Freundeskreis TrebeCafé Düsseldorf e.V.

The TrebeCafé of the Diakonie Düsseldorf offers girls and young women in particularly difficult situations a place to go. The mostly homeless visitors are provided with facilities for rest, free support and personal hygiene. 
The "Freundeskreis TrebeCafé Düsseldorf e.V." is an association of voluntary supporters of the Düsseldorf TrebeCafé. Our goal is to support the TrebeCafé financially, but also ideally.  
We would like to make the work of the TrebeCafé better known and secure it in the long term with the help of association members and supporters.
In times of the pandemic, there was a greatly increased need, not least because of the increased psychological and emotional stress in society in general and for some girls and young women in particular. Since then, the TrebeCafé team has provided many individual counselling sessions, telephone calls and home visits. Parallel to this, digital counselling has been expanded. All girls and young women can contact the TrebeCafé staff via chat, Facebook or email, either to make initial contact or to ask specific questions without having to be on site.  It has been shown that the social workers are often able to support the women digitally with advice and sensitivity.
In general, it remains a burden for the young women and also for the colleagues who work with the women on site.  

Much of the work of the TrebeCafé is donation-based - in these times we need your support even more than usual!
