Children`s Voice of Porto Novo (Santo Antao – Cape Verde)

Our social project "Children`s Voice of Porto Novo" is entering its 4th year of existence. The house has since become an important factor in social commitment in the municipality of Porto Novo and nationwide. The children we care for from the most difficult family situations, who are under the guardianship of the Juvenile Court and the Ministry of Family Affairs, have found a new home in the "Casa da Crianca". The obligation of care entrusted  us to provide a round-the-clock care for the children and to create a family-like atmosphere. Children aged 2-8 are admitted to our children's refuge and remain there until they are adopted or returned to their original family, if circumstances permit.

Our children's refuge is run exclusively with the provision of private donations.
You too can give your attention to the weakest in our society and help ensure that our social project can continue to support those whose lives began under difficult circumstances.

What we need

For the operation of Children`s Home and the care of the children, supplying them with food, clothing, shoes, school materials, medical assistance and much more, we need a contribution for covering our ongoing expenses. Thank you for supporting us. 

For cost related reasons we decided to import food and daily supplies directly from Italy and Portugal twice a year. This operation requires substantial delivery costs, custom and importation fees. Please help us bearing these costs. 

Some of our assisted children that we picked up on the street or have become orphans at an early age are suffering of traumatic stress disorders. They need to be assisted by qualified psychologists and therapists. In order to face these expenses, we kindly ask you to help us.
